TORONTO, CANADA The best way to ride the rail is to get there early. The second best way is with a camera in hand. This is a collection of concert and recording studio photography for friends and idols. 
When I heard Shing02—the vocalist behind some of my favorite tracks with Nujabes—was coming to Toronto, I knew I had to capture it. At the time, I was in a photographic slump, hitting a technical and creative plateau. A trip to San Francisco visiting my cousin, artist Yoram Wolberger, reignited my inspiration, but it wasn’t until my camera failed completely that I decided to act.

The day before the concert, I emailed Shing02 with my portfolio, asking if I could shoot the show. To my surprise, he said yes. With no suitable camera, I borrowed one from my friend and producer, @heavymetal, and shot my first concert. This gallery features photos from that night, a recording session with @whoisiffn, and promotional shots for @heavymetal’s DJ set.
